Thursday 21 December - Ushuaia at last!

 We arrived to huge queues for check - in.  I had booked a PE fare and was relieved to see that meant hardly any queuing for me.  Alas Sam had to join the hoards.

Our checked bags had to be no more than 15kg and carry on 8kg. My ticket had 2 checked bags, and Sam had 1, so we did a bit of transferring items hit the mark.  Sam's was bang on 15, mine were 14.5 and 15.5 so we passed with flying colours.  A bit of an anxious wait to see if Sam was rumbled for her clearly over 8kg carry on, but all good.

Some spectacular scenes during the flight, my favourite being the straight-edge cloud.

 

 

The Aurora team were waiting for us at the airport, as promised, and we were transported to our hotel for the night. 

 

An excellent choice.  I had another just to be sure.

 

 

 

I love these windows, also common in Europe, which can open on a side hinge or bottom hinge. 

This allows fresh air while maintaining security - brilliant.
