Some shots from the Ushuaia Beagle Channel outing and at last on board

We met a few people travelling on The World Residences. I think there are around 150 residences to purchase and owners can join/leave the ship at any time or place along its continuous excursions. Owners have a say in developing the cruise itineraries.

| Brag-worthy branding on the jacket |
| Very nifty ID tag in the external sleeve pocket to scan off and on the ship |
We haven't been able to open our windows for photos as the ship has been in constant motion. This morning on a whim I popped outside for a photo, as the sun briefly appeared. I only lasted a couple of minutes as I hadn't put on any warm clothes. I suspect walking around in Tshirt and leggings is about to become a thing of the past.

We have been so lucky with the Drake Crossing. The Captain made the excellent decision to delay our planned departure for around 10 hours to let the challenging conditions settle. I endured 70 knots winds in 2017 during the North Sea crossing which made it pretty much impossible to move safely around the ship. I'll update this when we find out the wind speed from yesterday, but it was very easy to cope with. Even milder today, and so we are out of the danger zone. The Captain is still confident of reaching Antarctica overnight.
Last night we were invited to place our bets for the Latitude, Longitude and time of sighting of the first iceberg. We instantly became experts, poring over the maps in the Observation Lounge and placing our guesses. Who will win the 'mystery prize'?
Ooh how exciting! Did the people who live on Luxury Residences seem like beings from another planet? I wonder if it’s difficult for them to be on land for a long time? Love the mountains with their own clouds. Great if you or Sam win the mystery prize. I won one on a tour once - guessing how many kilometres had travelled. The only thing I’ve ever won. Wine. Then the tour guide decided it ( my prize) should be shared with everyone. Not my thought at all but my prize disappeared! Have fun in your wonderful jackets - and keep the lower half of you warm too. Julie
